Our heart has the intelligence to bridge the body's awakeness with the mind's alertness.

Increasing its capacity to do so, promoting its potential for aliveness, is why we are here: contributing to wholeness of life, celebrating its beauty, its magic, its possibilities…

Through active participation in Expressive Arts: visual arts, poetry, drama, movement and sound, we provide opportunities to awaken our hearts to restore aliveness and wellness, to bridge and balance cohesively.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched,
they must be felt with the heart.
— Helen Keller

Heart Alive

Through active participation in Expressive Arts, we explore our emotions and develop healthy strategies for utilizing them to better understand our whole self; we establish real connections with ourselves first so that we can maintain real connections with others; we practice heart-mind coherence so that we can bridge the body's awakeness with the mind's alertness.

Explore Emotions

For many people, emotions are a scary thing. Part of the problem is that we just don’t know what to do with them. Exploring them in relationship to our whole self is a first step. Taking a closer look at our emotional responses without judgement and criticism is the next. Developing what has been coined as Emotional Intelligence is the next.

Emotions are valuable, and offer a bounty of benefits. Once we’re able to process and cope with them effectively, we can learn a lot about ourselves and our needs. Emotions send us important messages and help us connect with others to accomplish great things.

In the Artful Way, we experience our Emotions as safe space. We put into practice what we know to do naturally but have forgotten.

Make Real connections

It is the relationships that we have, particularly with those who are the closest to us that give us our greatest joy, but also the deepest pain. Navigating these relationships effectively, feeling that we have a safe harbour gives us greater resiliency, health and fulfillment from which we can reach our life’s goals and become the person that we most want to be.

Healthy relationships are a vital component of health and wellbeing. There is compelling evidence that strong relationships contribute to a long, healthy, and happy life.

In The Artful Way, we experience our Connections as safe space. We put into practice what we know to do naturally but have forgotten.

Heart-Mind Coherence

Heart intelligence is the flow of intuitive awareness, understanding and inner guidance we experience when the mind and emotions are brought into coherent alignment with the heart. It can be activated through self-initiated practice. The more coherent we are and the more we pay attention to this deeper intuitive inner guidance, the greater our ability to access this intelligence more frequently. Heart intelligence underlies cellular organization and guides and evolves organisms toward increased order, awareness and coherence of their bodies’ systems.

Each of us is capable of achieving, increasing and maintaining our personal and social coherence. One of the simplest and quickest paths to personal heart coherence is through the intentional self-generation of positive feelings such as compassion, care, love and other renewing types of emotions. In contrast, we can quickly become incoherent when we experience attitudes and emotions such as anger, fear and anxiety.

In The artful Way, we experience our Heart-Mind Coherence as safe space. We put into practice what we know to do naturally but have forgotten.

It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye.
— Antoine de Saint-Exupery
